Dr. Runa Bhattacharya, MD
Dr. Runa Bhattacharya earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at George Washington University, Washington, DC. She completed her medical degree at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. Dr. Bhattacharya continued her medical training with an internship and residency at George Washington University Medical Center, in Washington, DC. She completed her cardiology fellowship at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in New Brunswick.
Dr. Bhattacharya is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been in practice with Heart and Vascular Institute of Winchester LLC since 2015.
Dr. Bhattacharya is active in various professional organizations. She is a member of the American College Of Cardiology (ACC), American College Of Physicians (ACP), and the American Medical Association (AMA). She has been recognized throughout her career with many honors and awards, including Outstanding Academic Achievement Citations, Certificate of Recognition and an Appreciation from the National Institute of Mental Health, NIH for “invaluable service to patients with Alzheimer’s Disease”.
Dr. Bhattacharya is the author of numerous manuscripts and case reports. She has conducted many research activities and has volunteered with the American Red Cross, National Institutes of Health / National Institute of Mental, and Association for the Care of Children’s Health (ACCH)
